Why Would I Be Scrolling the Screen Without My Mouse?

I recently bookmarked an article on Xomba about how to use the scroll lock key.  It is pretty straightforward and instructional.  Then I got to thinking about why in the world would I need to use the scroll lock key?  I mean, who uses this function?

Is there a good reason to use this function other than simply to spite the mouse?  Can you think of a good reason?  If so, feel free to comment.

I decided to do a very brief article that gives my best guess as why I would be using the scroll lock button instead of my mouse.   Click here to read

Is it Worth Using StaplesLink ? Is StaplesLink.com Really Easy?

If you aren't sure if you want to use StaplesLink.com for your business office supplies that is OK.   If you are seriously considering it, I'd suggest a lot of research. Check online sources for service reviews as well as reviews of their competition.

Do some face to face work also.  Meet with outside competition and meet with a StaplesLink representative and compare what they say.  Ask questions. Look for perks and advantages that are similar as well as differ from what each other is offering.

Of course, compare price too. The price of your office supplies is why you are here in the first place.  Lower prices mean a better bottom line for your company. You'd be surprised how expensive stationary, no matter how little you order, adds up to a lot of money over time.  Saving money is the name of the game so be sure to check for favorable supply costs.

If you are having trouble finding a  review on Staples Link, look no further.  I posted a review and link to it below.  I've been using their service for years so I figured I'd rate them.

It is not a terribly complex review and it won't take up a lot of your time.  I try to give a good, concise summary of what my experience has been with this office supply company.  I hope that it give you an idea if this company is worth using.

I have linked the article below. Please check it out.

Photos Not Uploading On Any Site . Learn to Fix Pictures Upload Error Here

Introduction

I recently ran into a situation following a Verizon high speed internet outage, where I could not upload pictures on any internet site.
At first, I thought it was only Ebay as I was getting an error code ME005 but then I noticed it on other sites as well such as Photobucket, Xomba, etc.
I tried restarting my computer, rebooting my high speed internet modem and nothing seemed to work.

The photo upload would just run for what seemed like forever and then would either just quit. On Ebay, I'd get the error message.

I contacted Verizon (my high speed internet provider). I was a little skeptical of the advice but it actually worked and was easy to do.

Locate Your Dell Express Service Code and Assett Tag Number on Your Dell PC Windows XP

Introduction

If you are looking to have work or support done by Dell on your computer, you might need to locate your "Express Service Tag"  This article might be extremely dated. My hardware is quite old and all of my warranties I'm sure have long expired like the dodo bird.

That said, this article might help.

I also did an article recently on finding your Dell Service Tag number. I based in on the current, very old, computer I use from Dell as well as the ol' Windows XP operating system I run it off of.
There is also another way to locate the Dell Service tag number but in this case it is referred to as the "Asset Tag". Basically the same number.

Here's how to locate your Dell express service code and assett tag number on your Windows XP computer.

Step 1

Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your PC screen.

Step 2

In the window that appears above the start button, select "Control Panel"

Step 3

A "Dell" window will appear. In it, you see a "Support Info" button. Click it.

Step 4

A "Dell" window will appear. In the middle you will see your Asset Tag and Dell Express Service Code.

I hope that helps!  Thanks for reading!

How To Find Service Tag Number On Dell Computer Windows XP

Introduction

My computer is pretty ancient. I bought it from Dell years ago and as far as PC 's go, it is a dinosaur but still running like a gazelle. OK... maybe my computer isn't running that well, but it is still doing it's PC - thing just fine.

I run off of Windows XP.

If you need service from Dell Support for your personal computer, they will ask you for your service tag number.

Where can you find the service tag on your Dell Computer?  There are a number of ways to do this. The steps below will show you the one way to do this.

The service tag number can also be referred to as the "Asset Tag". You might also want to locate your Express Service code but that is not explained in this article.  I did another article that I provide the URL / Link for all the way at the bottom that will show you 1) Another way to locate the Asset Tag as well as 2) a way to find your Express Service Code.

Step 1

Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your computer screen.

Step 2

Then select "My Computer"

Step 3

Select the "SystemInfo" icon.  Mine has an icon that looks like a notebook. I actually had a little trouble finding "SystemInfo". On my personal computer ( Windows XP operating system ), it is not located in alphabetical order like the other icons and folders.  "SystemInfo" was down toward the bottom of the various choices.

Step 4

Once you select System info you'll see the service tag number.at the top left corner of the window that appears on your computer screen.
