Divide in Excel Spreadsheet Cell Easy

Business and personal spreadsheets can all get a boost by adding formulas to do calculations. Division formulas or Dividing cells in Excel is easy to do but also easy to forget so I decided to put this together so I can look it up anytime :-) Read on to learn How To Divide in Excel Spreadsheet Cell Easy

Instructions

     Open Excel on your computer so that your desired spreadsheet appears on your PC screen

     Key on the cell that you want the division result to appear. Let's say for example you want to see the answer in cell B4. Click on B4 cell
   • 3
     Then, without hitting the space bar enter an = (equal) sign
   • 4
     Then immediately after the equal sign, enter the cell you want to divide. For example if that cell is B2 enter =B2
   • 5
     Then immediately after the Excel cell that contains the number you want to divide type the / (forward slash). For example =B2/
   • 6
     Then immediately after the slash enter the cell that contains the number you want to divide the previous cell by. let's say you want to divide B2 by B3, you'd enter B3 so it would now look like this =B2/B3 . Be sure to use no spaces when doing division formulas on Excel

     Now when you enter a number in B2 and in B3 the answer of B2 divided B3 will appear in B4
